Description
What it is
A complete draft inducer assembly: the blower housing, the impeller wheel and the 115V motor, ready to bolt on. This is the assembly, not just the motor — no need to press the wheel off an old shaft.
Why they fail
The inducer runs on every heat call and pulls flue gas through the heat exchanger. Bearings dry out, the wheel loads up with soot, and eventually the motor either seizes or drops below the pressure switch threshold. A furnace that lights and then shuts down a few seconds later, or never lights at all, is often an inducer problem.
Replaces
1172823 — also seen as 1014338, 330701-701 and HQ1014338FA. Used on ICP-family furnaces including the C9MPD series.
Electrical
115V AC. Isolate power at the furnace switch before you start, and match the wire colours to the old unit.
Fitting
Four screws hold the assembly to the flue collector box; two wires plus a ground. Keep the gasket seated and check the flue for obstructions while the assembly is off.
Before you order
Send us the model and serial number from the furnace rating plate and we will confirm the fit before you buy. If it does not fit, we replace it.
