Description
What it is
A replacement refrigerator water filter cartridge for fridges that take the EveryDrop Filter 4 (part number EDR4RXD1). This is a compatible aftermarket cartridge, not a Whirlpool or EveryDrop part.
Why a 3-pack
EveryDrop 4 cartridges are rated for about six months, and the filter is the cheapest part of owning the fridge. A 3-pack covers roughly eighteen months and costs less per cartridge than buying them one at a time.
Replaces
EDR4RXD1 — also cross-referenced as Filter 4, EDR4RXD1B and W10413645A. Check the cartridge you are removing.
Filtration
Carbon block construction for chlorine taste and odour, sediment and fine particulate. Flush 2–3 gallons through the dispenser before drinking from a new cartridge.
Fitting
Twist-out, twist-in. On most Whirlpool-family models the cartridge sits inside the fridge compartment or in the base grille. If the dispenser has not been used for a while, run a couple of litres through and check for a slow drip at the housing.
Trademark notice
