Description
What it is
A spin-on oil filter for Trane centrifugal and screw chillers. It removes wear particles and varnish precursors from the compressor lubricant. A loaded filter shows up as rising oil pressure drop across the element, higher compressor discharge temperature, or a machine that trips on oil-pressure faults under load.

Why change it on schedule
The oil filter is the cheapest part on the machine and the one that protects the most expensive one. Running a loaded element costs you oil pressure margin; the debris it stops is the debris that scores a bearing. Chillers are usually serviced on an annual oil-and-filter interval, so a filter on the shelf turns a scheduled visit into a single trip.
Before you order
Fitment on commercial HVAC equipment is not universal — the same thread size can hide a different micron rating, bypass setting or gasket profile. If you are not certain this number matches your unit, send us the model and serial plate and we will confirm before you buy. If it does not fit, we replace it.
